Steeped Leaf Terminology
- Aroma – A scent denoting inherent character, often most evident in high-elevation teas.
- Biscuity – A pleasant aroma characteristic of a well-manufactured Assam tea.
- Bright – A lustrous, bright appearance that will usually translate into an equally bright liquor.
- Dull – Lacking in brightness and characteristic of a low quality tea.
- Uneven – Leaf of varying colors.
- Tarry – A smoky aroma.
