Hello fellow Tea Enthusiast,

Green Tea

Green teas are named for the color of the brewed liquor that they produce, although the greenish cast is often times tinged with yellow – depending on the variety of leaf and the area of origin. Both the smell and taste of green teas will be freshly vegetal in varying degrees. The taste is mild but lingering, and is usually accompanied by a pleasant astringency.

Green tea was the very first type of tea to be produced in China, and remains the most popular varietal in terms of both production and consumption in both China and Japan. It is immensely popular world-wide for its combination of great taste, detoxifying attributes, and high antioxidant content. They are also exceptional values in that the leaves may be steeped several times, making wonderful tasting tea all the while. Green teas are perfect for late afternoon use when their lower caffeine levels and soothing characteristics seem exceptionally appropriate.

Starry Night - Starry Night tea is a delightful herbal blend that was inspired by Van Gogh's classic painting of the same name. In this work, the cool dark colors of the night sky in combination with the warm glow from the windows of the cottages in the village below evoke the viewer's childhood memories of imagining what might exist in those dark and starry skies. Van Gogh himself is quoted as having said "Looking at the stars always makes me dream..." We hope that this gentle infusion of chamomile, peppermint, orange, fennel, and the petals of both rose and lavender will help ease you into a peaceful slumber filled full of pleasant dreams of your very own.
